DISCLAIMER & LIABILITY at BACK TO CAL EXPO
THIS TEXT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY WHICH AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS. READ TEXT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.
ENTRY FEES: Entry fees are non-refundable.
When a vehicle and/or display is set up for the show, they cannot be removed until the end of the event.
During set up and tear down, reckless or careless driving and unnecessary noise will not be allowed.
Vehicles must be operable within their classification. All vehicles must run, drive forward and reverse, turn left and right, under their own power.
Vehicles must be able to stop using their own braking system. The promoter reserves the right to decide if a specific class does not have to start based on public safety requirements.
Engines are not allowed to run at any time during the show. If the vehicle is started, you will be disqualified.
All parts of show vehicles must stay in display area, i.e., rims and tires, hood, removable top, etc.
All entries to be judged should have doors, hood and trunk open until notified that the car has been judged.
Displays may not be torn down until trophy presentation is over and announced that the show is over.
Displays: All displays will be allowed 110-volt power for an extra fee. A three wire grounded system must be used throughout your cord system.
Displays must abide by all fire marshal rules and regulations.
No obscene wording, drawings, photos will be allowed on a vehicle, sign or display area. You will be disqualified.
No “For Sale” signs allowed on or around vehicles. A small sign can be painted on a vehicle (2 x 3.5 inches.) Anything larger than 2 x 3.5 inches must be pre-approved by show producer. If not approved, it must be removed or taped over. Vehicles not getting prior approval may risk being disqualified or moved down a class position.
No animals will be allowed in building during show hours.
Do not forget to abide by the fire marshal’s regulations. Tape gas caps or have a locking gas cap. Disconnect battery, have a drip pan, use a fire retardant material on displays and use a three wire ground electrical system.
Exhibitors agrees to obtain insurance covering exhibitors vehicle, trailer, display and all belongings. The exhibitors assumes full responsibility for any loss/damage.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the display area during set-up or show hours.
Back to the Boulevard/Back to Cal Expo, show director, show manager, show judges, sponsors & all show staff may not be held responsible for theft, of or damage to, vehicles or any artifacts on display at the event.
LIABILITY: By signing this application, entrant for and on behalf of himself/herself and his/her respective heirs, companies, partnerships, corporations, consultants, agents, advisors, fiduciaries, management personnel, executors, personal representatives, administrators, insurers, trustee, successors, assigns, switchmen and all owners and operators of the car, truck, van, bike and/or motorcycle (collectively, "Vehicle") entered hereunder (collectively, the "Indemnifying Party") agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Back to the Boulevard/Back to Cal Expo, its subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions and its and their representative present, former and future officers, directors, shareholders, board members, management personnel, consultants, advisors, predecessors, parents, representatives, servants, holding companies, employees, attorney, agents, contractors, subcontractors, representatives, insurers, fiduciaries, successors and assigns including, but not limited to, Back to the Boulevard/Back to Cal Expo, all event sponsors and owners and operators of the event facility (collectively "Claims") arising out of or in connection with (a) a breach by the Indemnifying Party of any rule, regulation, requirement, term, warranty, covenant, representation or condition contained in this application and/or in the 2023.
JUDGING: All entries must show their registration cards in ordered to be judged. Judging staff decisions are final, binding and rendered in their sole and absolute discretion.
NAMES & PHOTOS: The owner, spouse, and guests agree to allow the Back to the Boulevard/Back to Cal Expo event the use of their names and photos for publicity, advertising and commercial purposes before, during and after the event without compensation to the exhibitor.
SAFETY: All fire regulations must be followed to the letter, or subject to disqualification and banned from future events. Entrant acknowledges that he/she has received, reviewed and agrees to any and all rules, regulations, requirements, terms, warranties, covenants, representations and conditions contained in this application.
